Museum Visit

As a former schoolteacher who becomes immersed in the world of art Mr. Suteja Neka collected Balinese paintings as a means of artistic documentation. And his concern in preserving this collection for the future led the founding of the Neka Museum. It also was a way of promoting his efforts, as artists similarly do in signing their works.

Petulu Tour

Every day around sunset thousands of white herons, called Kokokan in Balinese begin filling the skies as they fly back to the village of Petulu after searching for food since sunrise. With their stomachs full of small paddy eels, fish and frogs they spend the night safely roosting in the tree-lined roads of the quiet mountain village. It is difficult to believe that the hustle and the hustle of Ubud are just a few miles away.

Yoga

A Holistic exercises for your mind, body and soul. Join our yoga class every Monday and Thursday at complimentary. A private yoga class can be arranged at cost on requested day.

Trekking

Ubud area is rich in scenic beauty of its nature offering breathtaking views of rice paddy terraces, tropical vegetations, cocoas, cloves, valleys, and rivers regulating Balinese traditional irrigation system. To experience countryside walk in a tropical and fresh air environment is an exciting activity. A trek route takes at approximately two hours walk and a hotel trekker will guide you.

Wood Carving

During your stay day trip, you will notice many deferent kinds of wood display at the Fine Art Gallery or Art Shop. The village of Ubud is known for its rather naturalistic style of painting showing dancers, ceremonies and scenes from village life as well as woodcarving. Try your hand at making a name in a wood block. In one hour you will practice carve your name, learn at one at a time and than working on a final of your own. than sandpaper for a completed work in the Balinese style as a unique souvenir made by your own hands.

All in-house guests are invited to visit this activities every Thursday afternoon. Its is complimentary.

Balinese Attire & Dance Lesson

Modern way of living has change the daily uniform of Balinese, most of them not wearing Sarong on their regular daily activities that might be for fashion purposes. But Balinese still maintains this tradition especially for any cultural activities such as Temple Ceremony, Funeral or traditional culture activities.

Held every Wednesday and Saturday afternoon. It is complimentary.

Coconut Leaf Craft

Offerings are the traditional art and part of Balinese people daily religious activities and dedicated to neutralize energy for a consistent equilibrium at all time. Offerings are seen in the entire hotel area, in hotel shrines, offices, on the grounds, and in front of your room.

All guests are invited to learn of making offerings every Monday and Friday afternoon. It's complimentary.

 

Rent-A-Bicycle

We provide you with mountain bicycle at small cost inclusive of a bottle of mineral water should you’d like to explore the country-side of Tanggayuda village.

 

Balinese Wedding Photo Memory

Cheers! You may not wed on this island but you can capture the lively memory. Get dressed as Balinese bride and groom, then show your mile-wide-smile to the camera. This activity is available everyday. Dress and make-up are included. Please book one day in advance.

 

Appetizer Class

Our chef and cooks are happy to share their secret recipes and experiences. Try to make simple cakes or light party starters every Sunday and Wednesday starting from 3.00 PM to 4.30 PM. It is complimentary and aprons are provided.

 

Balinese Dance Photo Memory

Capture the precious moments of your stay in Bali. Choose your favorite dance costume: Puspanjali, Legong, Baris, Margapati and Oleg Tambulilingan and take memorable photos of you as a Balinese dancer. This activity is available everyday. Make-up and costumes are provided.
